Today, Tuesday, the Finance Committee in the Iraqi Parliament revealed new details about the 2023 federal budget, stressing that the salaries of employees in the Kurdistan Region are guaranteed in the budget within the Kurdistan Region’s share of it, which will be sent monthly.[/size]
[size=45]Committee member Dr. Nermin Maarouf, said: The Parliamentary Finance Committee continues to discuss the provisions of the budget bill in all its financial, economic and social dimensions.[/size]
[size=45]She added that after the completion of these discussions, the second reading of the draft law will take place next week, adding, “The bill is scheduled to be approved after Eid Al-Fitr.”[/size]
[size=45]Maarouf explained that the Kurdistan Region's share of the 2023 federal budget is 12.67%, or more than 15 trillion dinars, and it will have many positive effects on reviving the investment sector, providing job opportunities and ending delayed salaries.[/size]
[size=45]Indicating that this budget is the largest in the history of the Iraqi state and amounts to more than 199 trillion dinars, 150 trillion of which is operational and 50 trillion for investment. Emphasizing that the salaries of employees in the Kurdistan Region are guaranteed in the budget within the Kurdistan Region’s share of it, which will be sent monthly.[/size]
[size=45]A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Khalil Ghazi, had reported: Earlier, that the share of the Kurdistan Region is fixed in the budget and was agreed upon in advance.[/size]
