    [size=45]Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, chaired the twenty-sixth regular session of the Council of Ministers, which witnessed discussions on public issues and files, and the conditions related to the economic and service aspects, and the progress of implementing the government program.[/size]
    [size=45]At the outset of the session, His Excellency indicated that the next six months are a pivotal period in the life of the government, and the momentum of implementation of the government program must be maintained, especially after the approval of the Federal General Budget Law for three years.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani directed the ministries and government agencies to take measures to reduce delegations, especially to ministers and undersecretaries, whose increase has been noticed recently and which affects the work of the ministries.[/size]
    [size=45]He also directed that the leadership staff continue to work in positions of duty, even after the end of the official working hours, and that they be present in their ministries to work day and night, and that they remove from their dictionary the issue of vacation or the end of working hours.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister indicated the need to listen to citizens by officials, which will support the ministers' work program and accelerate the achievement of achievements, in addition to the need to stand up to blackmailers and expose them, who may appear with official or unofficial addresses.[/size]
    [size=45]The Council studied the files and issues on the agenda and took the appropriate decisions regarding them.[/size]
    [size=45]With regard to regulating foreign labor in Iraq, the Council of Ministers decided to approve the amendment of Cabinet Resolution (119 of 2021) amended by Resolution (283 of 2022) by adding a member from the Ministry of Interior, with regard to residency for foreign workers, to the Supreme Committee for Planning and Operating the Workforce. .[/size]
    [size=45]In the field of import regulation and administrative reform in this sector, the Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Economy No. (230128 s), according to the following:[/size]
    [size=45]1. Excluding all foodstuffs, from Paragraph (2) of Cabinet Resolution (23055) for the year 2023, according to what was stated in the Ministry of Health letter.[/size]
    [size=45]2. Confirming the approval of pre-examination certificates from accredited bodies in the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Planning / Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control.[/size]
    [size=45]The Council also agreed to exclude military shipments from the procedures of the audit team formed according to Cabinet Resolution (23037), for the year 2023, concerned with requests for exemption from all customs duties.[/size]
    [size=45]The Council considered a number of topics on its agenda and took the following decisions:[/size]
    [size=45]First: Approval of the draft law for the protection of intellectual property, which was audited by the State Council, and its referral to the House of Representatives based on provisions of the constitution, taking into account the notes received from the legal department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.[/size]
    [size=45]Second / Approving the donation of fixed assets (furniture and equipment) from the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works to the road departments of the governorates (Diyala, Holy Karbala, Babil, Dhi Qar, and Wasit), based on the provisions of previous Cabinet decisions, (206 of 2019) and (340 of 2021).[/size]
    [size=45]Third / Approving the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Human Development (23013 b) for the year 2023, according to the following:[/size]
    [size=45]Approval of the study and proposals related to the development of tourism activity, set out by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, taking into account the interest in religious tourism.[/size]
    [size=45]Fourth / Approving a draft law ratifying the strategic partnership treaty between the Republic of Iraq and the French Republic, and referring it to the House of Representatives, based on the provisions of the constitution.[/size]
    [size=45]Fifth / Approval of authorizing the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations (Mohammed Hussein Mohamed Bahr Al-Uloum) with the authority to negotiate and sign the following:[/size]
    [size=45]1. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, regarding the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports.[/size]
    [size=45]2. A memorandum of understanding regarding conducting political consultations on issues of common interest between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Iraq and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the State of Qatar, based on Cabinet Resolution (245 of 2022).[/size]
