[size=45]The city of Sulaymaniyah witnessed an economic conference between the Kurdistan Region and Iran to expand the volume of trade exchange between the two sides, in the presence of an Iranian economic delegation headed by President Ibrahim Raisi.[/size]
[size=45]The head of the Exporters and Importers Union in the Kurdistan Region, Mustafa Sheikh Abdul Rahman, said in his speech during the conference that "the region seeks to expand the volume of trade exchange with the Islamic Republic of Iran to a size greater than the current one."[/size]
[size=45]He added, "We held this conference in the presence of the Iranian President's advisor, Hojjatullah Abdul-Malik, the official of the free zone in Iran, and representatives of ministries and commercial companies, in order to work effectively on distributing the exchange process between the two sides, especially between the ports overlooking the free zone in Iran."[/size]
[size=45]And the president of the federation stated that "during the past two days, several meetings were held between the Iranian delegation, merchants, investors and officials in Sulaymaniyah, and those meetings were fruitful in the way of expanding the volume of trade exchange between the two sides."[/size]
[size=45]The annual volume of trade exchange between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region is estimated at about $6 billion, which takes place through the border crossings and the free zone.[/size]
