Independent MP Alaa Al-Haidari warned today, Saturday, of the consequences of the continued Turkish incursion into Iraqi territory, calling for taking serious steps and measures towards Turkey.
Al-Haidari said in a press interview that the operations of the Turkish forces inside Iraqi territory are a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and a targeting of the security of citizens, pointing out that there is no justification for these forces to remain on Iraqi territory.
Al-Haidari pointed out that the failure to take any measures against Turkey encouraged it to persist in Iraq's sovereignty and expand the presence of its forces in depth.
