The Council of Ministers, in its regular session held yesterday, Tuesday, headed by the Chairman of the Council, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, approved the completion of 30,000 housing units in the Bismaya residential complex, and the disbursement of dues to Hanwha Company for the completed housing units, while authorizing the National Investment Authority to proceed with the implementation of the 70,000 units. In the remaining residential areas, he decided to donate gas oil fuel to Gaza hospitals in the amount of (10) million liters, in solidarity from Iraq and its people with the people of the Strip. The Prime Minister's Media Office statement stated that the Council agreed to transfer ownership of the Abu Nawas beaches to the Baghdad Municipality. The ownership of the land will be transferred after coordination with the Ministries of Water Resources and Agriculture.
With regard to Iraqi borrowers from government banks (including the Iraqi Trade Bank) in the US dollar currency; Banks are obligated to repay their loans at the official exchange rate (1,320 dinars) for every US dollar from the borrower, provided that the Central Bank of Iraq reinforces the banks’ accounts in dollars for the purposes of external transfer, and at the official exchange rate, according to their need for that.
