    Information/Baghdad...
Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the time has come to launch the war against corruption and the corrupt.
Al-Mandalawi said, during the National Integrity Week celebration, that “Iraq is taking a big step towards combating the scourge of corruption,” noting that “the battle with the scourge of corruption requires cooperation with the concerned authorities.”
He added, "It is time to launch the war against corruption and the corrupt, and today there are no red lines in the fight against corruption," noting that "Parliament is working to legislate laws that enable state institutions to fight corruption."
He continued, "We value the efforts of the integrity employees, as they are no less valuable than soldiers on the battlefields," pointing out that "the House of Representatives fully supports the Integrity Commission in combating corruption, and work is underway to establish a legal basis in this regard."
He pointed out that “Parliament is working to conclude agreements with Arab parliaments to combat corruption.” Ended/25
