Today, Tuesday, the Federal Integrity Commission revealed that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, had disclosed their financial assets for the year 2024. The Commission
stated, in a statement, that “the Prevention Department received two financial disclosure forms for the current year of the Chairman of the Council.” The Ministers (Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani) and the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge (Faiq Zaidan), will be the first officials to disclose their financial liabilities from the heads of the three authorities.”
The office reported, “The head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, and the staff who applied for it disclosed their financial liabilities for the current year, and submitted their forms, so that the head of the commission would be the first of the heads of independent bodies to disclose the financial assets.”
The Authority urged those included to “hurry up filling out the financial disclosure form, and adhere to the timings stipulated in the articles of the Authority’s effective law,” stressing “the obligation of officials to disclose their financial liabilities, and their foreign activities, investments, assets, donations, or large benefits that may lead to a conflict of interest.” “It contributes to strengthening the confidence of the Iraqi people in the government and state institutions.”
