    Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The electronic passport represents an important and useful technical development in the process of issuing official documents in Iraq, as Representative Zuhair Al-Fatlawi described the process of issuing the electronic passport as a successful experience, pointing to its importance in simplifying the procedures for obtaining the passport and reducing the suffering of citizens.
    Al-Fatlawi explained that the electronic passport is a step in the right direction towards electronic governance, but he hopes to reduce its costs.
    Al-Fatlawi added that the experience is good and contributes to reducing the suffering of citizens by accelerating the procedures for obtaining the passport. However, the fees for the electronic passport require reviewing the fees amounting to (91,000) dinars, which are divided into (25,000) dinars that goes to the state treasury and (66,000) dinars that goes to the state treasury. Investing company.
    The electronic passport has many advantages that make it an advanced and modern technology that serves the citizen and reduces administrative routine. The most important of these advantages are accuracy and security, as the electronic passport is characterized by a high degree of accuracy and security, as it contains an integrated electronic chip that includes all the citizen’s personal data, including His personal photo and biometric data, such as his fingerprint.
    The electronic passport is easy to use, as it can be used in all countries that adopt electronic passports, without the need to issue entry visas.
    The e-passport helps speed up travel procedures, as it can be issued within a few hours.
    There is hope that the electronic passport will be accessible to citizens, in addition to working to coordinate with countries that do not adopt electronic passports, to ensure ease of travel for citizens to these countries.
    In general, the electronic passport is an advanced and modern technology that has many advantages that serve the citizen and reduce administrative routine.
