Adrienne Watson, spokeswoman for the White House National Security Council, said in her first comment on the incident, in a statement followed by Alsumaria News, “We will continue to evaluate the situation, but initial indications indicate that this was a group of reckless and inaccurate strikes,” according to the official US government website.

"The United States supports Iraq's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity," she added, adding that no American personnel or facilities were targeted.

Yesterday evening, Monday, various areas of the Kurdistan region witnessed missile strikes with ballistic missiles and drones, claimed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, indicating that it had struck an Israeli “spy headquarters” in northern Iraq, as well as places housing “terrorists” linked to the Kerman explosion, according to what the Guard said. Al-Thawri, while four people were killed and six others were injured in the attack.

In a statement issued by his office, Iraqi Kurdish Prime Minister Masrour Barzani condemned the attack on Erbil and described it as a "crime against the Kurdish people."

The Kurdistan Democratic Party said prominent businessman Bachraw Diziyi was among four civilians killed.
