    [size=45]Minister of Commerce, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi, stressed the importance of reopening the commercial attaché in Australia and the economic representation at the Australian embassy in Baghdad.[/size]
    [size=45]The Ministry of Commerce said in a statement, “Minister of Commerce Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi received the Australian Ambassador in Baghdad, Glenn Miles, to discuss ways to enhance and develop economic and trade relations, and the possibility of returning trade exchange between Iraq and Australia in a way that serves their mutual interests.”[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Ghurairi stressed that “the Iraqi government has developed an ambitious government program and the economic file is present in it through several measures, including openness to the economies of countries around the world and organizing internal and external trade policy, in addition to reforms to improve the business and investment environment to make the Iraqi market attractive and flexible, in addition to its plan to revive Iraqi industry and localize industries within Iraq".[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting, the Minister pointed out “the importance of the Australian side’s response to the memorandums of understanding related to trade cooperation,” calling on “Australian companies to enter into partnership and investment projects in all sectors, especially the agricultural sector and the livestock sector, in addition to participating in international exhibitions and economic forums to bring viewpoints closer together.” The private sector in both countries.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Ghurairi stressed “the importance of reopening the commercial attaché in Australia and the economic representation at the Australian embassy in Baghdad.”[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, the Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, Glen Miles, stressed “his country’s desire to re-strengthen and enhance bilateral relations with Iraq and for the next stage to witness more cooperation in various economic, investment and trade fields, especially since the current Iraqi government has approved the principle of reform and economic openness to all.”[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out, “We seek to take action against Australian companies and urge them to go to Iraq and enter into investments by conveying a realistic picture of the situation in Iraq today and its commercial dealings with major international companies that have entered into serious investments in it, and to obtain investment opportunities after those companies realize that the dealing mechanisms are transparent.”[/size]
