    The Ministry of Industry announced its intention to restart the suspended factories, and while it indicated that the raw materials involved in its industries will be supplied from the ministry’s companies instead of importing, it pledged to meet the needs of the Ministry of Agriculture for the products involved in its work.

    The Director General of the General Company for Construction Industries, one of the formations of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Ahmed Hussein Abd, said in an interview conducted with him by the official agency and followed by “Al-Iqtisad News,” that “the company has future directions and projects that will be completed during the coming months, the most important of which is our direction to restart the stalled factories and revitalize Our companies, confirming the availability of human resources and capabilities to achieve these goals and achieve what is required.”

    New production lines and increased production
    . Abdel added, “The General Company for Construction Industries owns important production lines and has been supplemented with new lines, including the Smart Marit Company, which specializes in water filters, stressing that the engineering cadres will begin installing these machines and machines during the coming days in order to enhance production and its quantities until reaching the desired goal.” .
    Abdul stated, “The Minister of Industry stressed on increasing production and meeting the needs of the Ministry of Agriculture and other departments, stressing the development of a new plan that will be initiated after Eid Al-Fitr to supply these materials and production quantities and reach the goals that rise to the level of the General Company for Construction Industries.”

    Raw Materials
    Regarding the provision of raw materials involved in the construction industries, Abdel pointed out that “the Minister of Industry directed us to go to the sister companies affiliated with the Ministry to prepare raw materials and reduce costs instead of importing and in order to increase production capacities. Indeed, cooperation took place with the General Company for Petrochemical Industries, which is specialized in producing materials.” The raw materials used in the construction industries, such as high-density and low-density granules, and the cooperation was fruitful and communication continued, and we were equipped with low-density granules,” indicating that the company is in the process of preparing the raw materials of high-density granules in the required quantities without resorting to imports. “

    Covering agricultural needs
    and speaking about covering the needs The Ministry of Agriculture, Director General of Construction Industries, stated that “the Iraqi market is undoubtedly flooded with materials as a result of the large number of outlets in neighboring countries and the flooding of the market,” stressing the Ministry of Industry’s pledge to reach the level of meeting the Ministry of Agriculture’s need for existing products, pointing to the development of a plan that was studied two months ago as a team. He worked to prepare the primary requirements for agriculture, confirming the conclusion of a contract with the Ministry of Agriculture to equip it with fixed sprinklers.
