    The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced that the final designs for the Fourth Ring Road project are nearing completion, while one of the traffic congestion projects will be opened every month.
    The Ministry’s official spokesman, Istabraq Sabah, explained in an interview with “Al-Sabah” followed by “Al-Iqtisad News” that the Fourth Ring Road project is one of the strategic projects that works to transfer traffic from the northern governorates towards the south and vice versa without passing through Baghdad, and thus reduce the congestion that occurs. In the capital, he pointed out that there are old designs for the project that are not compatible with the traffic development witnessed by the country, in addition to the presence of violations and obstacles passing through the road lanes, which called on the Ministry to refer the designs to a specialized engineering company to find solutions to these violations and deal with them.
    He stated that the company will work to finalize the designs within less than a month, in order to approve them and begin implementing the first phase of the project, which consists of 4 phases, warning at the same time that the ministry will work to compensate the simple and low-income transgressors, in addition to removing the violations that occurred. Can't deal with it.
    In the same context, Sabah stated that the Ministry, in order to initiate the second package of projects to relieve traffic congestion, has prepared a plan that includes the opening of one or two projects from the first package projects every month, and thus the current month of April will witness the opening of the Al-Shaljiya Bridge Project and the Bridge Project linking the Mohandiseen neighborhood to the interior, It consists of 3 bridges, while the rest of the projects will be opened successively, followed by the launch of the projects of the second package.
