, a member of the House of Representatives, Basem Khashan, confirmed that there is a person who assumed the position of Speaker of Parliament and passed a law without voting on it.
Khashan said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “all those who held the position of Speaker of Parliament did not use it or manage it properly, and some of them took advantage of the position for incorrect purposes that were not in the interest of Iraq, but rather benefited their political gains.”
He added, "There is a person who assumed the position of Speaker of Parliament and passed a law despite not forming a sufficient number of votes from members of the House of Representatives, pointing out that there is a Speaker of Parliament who forged identification papers with his own hand and with his approval and the approval of the legal representative."
He pointed out that "the position of Speaker of Parliament is considered one of the most exploited positions by figures who held this position and did not provide anything for the people."
