“Industry of the Future” is the largest gathering of Iraqi youth

Designed by and for youth, the “Making the Future” project is a transformative 12-month effort aimed at empowering and developing youth through a series of camps, conferences and seminars in 18 Iraqi governorates, including the Kurdistan Region.
The Prime Minister’s Advisor for Youth Affairs, Member of the Supreme Council for Youth, Dr. Qasim Al-Zalimi, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The (Future Makers) project is currently being implemented under the auspices of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, by the (Future Makers) Foundation and in cooperation with... Supreme Council for Youth.
He explained, "The project is a community effort and aims to engage, empower, and inspire 35,000 young men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 years." He explained, "The project seeks to build social and cultural bridges between the Iraqi components, and to promote diversity, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence. It also works “As an incubator for young people to explore and acquire the knowledge necessary to provide opportunities and face emerging challenges in the contemporary world, as well as develop skills to shape the future.”
He added, "The (Industry of the Future) project will also provide ongoing support and guidance to graduates and the innovative sustainable projects they develop in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, capable of promoting long-term progress," and stated that "this initiative promises to shape Iraq's future to a large extent." By empowering its youth with the tools necessary for sustainable progress.”
For his part, digital media and human development expert, Dr. Muhammad Akram Al Jaafar, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah” that “recently, many projects have emerged to support the youth group in Iraq with various titles, and these serious attempts that they have taken upon themselves must be praised.” State institutions, including the “Industry of the Future” project, which aims to empower young people, develop them and enhance their capabilities.”
