Baghdad / Iraq News Network announced that the Iraqi Oil Ministry Sunday for the export of a new shipment of gas condensate to the United Arab Emirates through the country 's southern ports.And gas condensate extracted from associated oil production from Iraq 's southern fields of natural gas and are being addressed primarily to feed power plants and for use as a gas for cooking in the local market. A spokesman for the Oil Ministry , Assem Jihad , said in a statement today: Basra Gas Company had exported the thirteenth shipment of a substance condensate through the port of Khor Al - Zubair in Basra aboard a ship headed to the port of Fujairah in the UAE , with tonnage of 14,814 metric tonnes. Iraq had released the first shipments of gas condensate in March last March as part of government efforts to boost crude exports , which make up most of the country 's revenues in light of falling world oil prices , revenue strategy.
