    Baghdad - Mawazine News
MP for the province of Basra, Jamal al-Muhammadawi, on Tuesday, the government and the Ministry of Electricity to abandon the decision to refer the project to collect electricity wages to investors, criticizing the Ministry ignored the many claims received in this regard.
"Our claim to the government and the Ministry of Electricity is continuing, and we have voiced the voice of the people of Basra province, which rejects the project to transfer the collection of electricity wages to investors, but to no avail," he said in a statement.
Al-Mahmoudawi warned of "ignoring the calls of the people of Basra, especially that the people of the Faw province expressed today, expressed their dissatisfaction and refusal to enter the contractor and his company to carry out deliveries and receipt and inventory sites belonging to the Ministry of Electricity in the first steps of the implementation of the privatization contract, which was signed at the beginning of this month, May happen if the Ministry of Electricity insists on it. "
The statement added, "was rather the government and the Ministry of Electricity before starting to grant the draft levy to investors to pressure the citizen in order to rationalize the use of electric power or activate the collection of wages, provide adequate financial support that can afford these burdens," noting that "the collection does not rely on homes But only imposed on shops, industrial and agricultural equipment. "
He pointed out that "the fate of many workers in the Ministry of Electricity is still unknown with the investor, especially the staff of contracts and daily procedures, as well as the mechanisms of the ministry and its equipment spent billions on them."
He called on the ministry to "assume its responsibility in improving the processing of energy through the implementation of projects with high transparency and fight corruption before the restrictions on the citizen and try to prevent him from operating the simplest electrical devices and is obliged to support citizens with moderate consumption and simple because the current pricing entails lists of high amounts "He said.
He called for "recalculating the cost of real energy to produce electricity and preparing plans that contribute to reducing the cost of production," pointing out that "the tariff rate will be supported through the implementation of production projects with international specifications and the correct operation of stations and the use of good fuels."
