Parliamentary legal reveal the most prominent differences over amending the election law

Parliamentary Legal Committee suggested, Wednesday, not to pass the amendment in the local elections law this week because of fundamental differences over Kirkuk, noting that the Turkmen component has an objection on provincial councils elections in Kirkuk.
The committee member said Zana Said in a statement to the agency / information / that "modifying the local elections law will not pass in this week because of fundamental disagreements over Kirkuk," noting that "the Turkmen component has an objection on provincial councils elections in Kirkuk under the new amendment, while insisting list Kurdistan to hold elections according to the new amendment. "
Said added that "that paragraph, the most prominent disagreement on passing the amendment," adding that "other differences between the blocs on the division of electoral quotas and some measures, but it will be resolved during the parliament's vote on it."
He Said, that "the new law allocates 10 seats per million and increased it will be allocated a seat for every two hundred thousand people in the large provinces in August a significant reduction in the number of members of the council." Finished / 25 d
