A total of 89 million dollars worth of hand-made Iranian carpets have been exported over the past four months, up 7.3 percent in value over the same period last year, the head of Iran's National Carpet Center Hamid Carkar said Tuesday.
"The volume of exports of Iranian hand carpets has not increased in the past four months compared to the same period last year, which reveals the export of precious carpets this year," the agency quoted IRNA as saying.
He added that "America is the first importer of Iranian hand carpets, pointing out that the ban prevented the export of carpets to the United States from 2010 to 2016, but after the start of the implementation of the nuclear agreement, the resumption of exports of carpets to the United States, was exported 90 million dollars of carpets to grow by 10 Millions from previous years. "
