    (International: Euphrates News) Belgian media said on Friday that soldiers shot a man attacked them with a knife in the center of Brussels, wounding him.
    RTVF said the man was shot after two soldiers attacked with a knife, causing minor injuries in the attack, one in the face and the other in the hand.
    "Based on the identity we have now, he is a 30-year-old man who is not known to have terrorist activities," a spokesman for the prosecution authorities said.
    The Belgian prosecutor announced the death of the bomber.
    Soldiers are guarding the streets of Brussels along with the police because of the high level of security risk, following terrorist attacks in Paris and the Belgian capital in 2015 and 2016.
    Last July, soldiers shot dead a suspected suicide bomber at a train station in central Brussels.
    No other victims were injured in the attack, which was treated by the authorities as a terrorist incident

    Belgian police announced the death of the attacker, which targeted two soldiers knife, in the center of Brussels, on Friday evening .
    Belgian media reported that the attacker was a 30-year-old Somali youth who shouted "Allah Akbar" during the attack .
    The Public Prosecutor's Office declared that the attack was a terrorist attack, asserting that the attacker "died" of being shot by soldiers who were on the scene and rushed to shoot him .
    The mayor of Brussels, Philippe Claus, said the alert status, which is one degree below the highest level, has not changed .
    He added, in a press statement, that "the initial indications that it ... an isolated attack .. carried out by a single person ."


    In June, Belgian security services shot dead a suspected suicide bomber at a train station in central Brussels. There were no other casualties in the attack, which the authorities treated as a terrorist incident . sf
