    Baghdad / Sky Press

On October 21, 2017, President Donald Trump authorized the publication of thousands of classified documents relating to the assassination of John F. Trump. Kennedy, after being kept secret for decades.

The assassination of the former president on 22 November 1963 in Dallas, which is a defining moment in US history, feeds conspiracy theories decades ago, with some questioning Lee Harvey Oswald as the only one in charge of the operation.

"On condition of receiving new information, I will allow, in my capacity as president, to open the GFK files, which have remained closed for a long time and classified confidentially," Trump said on his Twitter page.
The publication of all the secret documents associated with the process is a long-awaited step by historians and conspiracy theorists.

Trump's announcement came after reports that all the files would not be published, most likely to protect intelligence sources linked to the case.

The files will be published Thursday, almost 54 years after the assassination of Kennedy, unless the President decides otherwise.

Millions of clandestine files linked to Kennedy were published under a law passed in 1992 in response to mounting calls by the public to reveal the circumstances of the incident, following Oliver Stone's film about the assassination, imbued with conspiracy theories.

But the law imposes a 25-year detention on a small number of files, which expires on 26 October.

Some reports estimate the number of files held at 3100. It is also expected to publish the full versions of the tens of thousands of files that remained parts of them confidential.

The 46-year-old Kennedy was a turning point for the United States.

A 10-month investigation, led by Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren, concluded that Oswald, a former Marine who lived in the Soviet Union, acted alone when he shot at Kennedy's convoy and hit the president with two shots in the back and head.

Oswald, who was arrested, was killed two days later from the city jail by the owner of a nightclub named Jack Robbie.

But a special inquiry committee of the House of Representatives concluded in 1979 that Kennedy was "probably murdered as a result of a conspiracy," likely two people fired.

Fidel Castro, the Mafia and the Soviet Intelligence!

The conspiracy theories that have emerged over the years have been blamed on many parties, including Fidel Castro, the Mafia, Soviet intelligence and former President Lyndon Johnson, as well as the CIA.

Trump was on the line of popular obsession with last year's presidential election, linking the father of his Republican rival, Senator Ted Cruz, to Kennedy's assassination.

In a May 2016 phone interview with Fox News, he said Cruise's father "was accompanied by Lee Harvey Oswald, before Oswald was shot."

For his part, Cruz described Trump's accusations as "mad."

"Does that mean that Ted Cruz's father will be exposed?" Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff wrote in response to Trump's announcement on Saturday.
