[ltr]More than 340,000 people have been killed since the outbreak of the Syrian conflict 123[/ltr]
    [ltr]Follow up of Mawazine News[/ltr]
[ltr]More than 340,000 people, including more than 100,000 civilians, have been killed since the outbreak of the Syrian conflict more than six years ago, according to a new toll from the Syrian Human Rights Observatory on Friday.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The observatory documented at least 34,351 people killed, including 10,226 civilians, between March 15, 2011 and early November," said Rami Abdul Rahman, director of the observatory.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Among the civilian casualties were 18,897 children and 11,909 women," Abdul Rahman was quoted as saying by AFP.[/ltr]
[ltr]The latest toll of the observatory on July 16 reported more than 330,000 deaths, including more than 99,000 civilians.[/ltr]
[ltr]The agreement to reduce tension, which was approved at the Astana talks in May and largely implemented in four Syrian regions, contributed to a drop in the daily death rate, according to Abdel Rahman.[/ltr]
[ltr]But he pointed out that the fierce fighting that broke out in recent months against an outlawed organization, excluded from the agreement, in northern and eastern Syria, has led to a rise in the total number of dead.[/ltr]
[ltr]With regard to non-civilian deaths, the Observatory counted the deaths of more than 119,000 members of the Syrian regime and its loyalists, including 62,860 Syrian soldiers and 1556 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.[/ltr]
[ltr]On the other hand, about 59 thousand fighters of the opposition factions and the Syrian Democratic Forces, which form the Kurdish units, were the main components, and fought violent confrontations against a sympathetic organization.[/ltr]
[ltr]More than 62,000 fighters of the Fatah al-Sham Front (formerly Nasra) and the Daqash organization were killed, as well as foreign fighters from other extremist groups.[/ltr]
