[ltr]The Iraqi ambassador to Turkey Hisham Al-Alawi said that the oil revenues of his country bear special importance during the current period, which is in need of liquidity for reconstruction.[/ltr]
[ltr]Allawi said that "all governments will support the extension of the agreement to cut oil production concluded earlier this year between the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC and independent producers."[/ltr]
[ltr]The Iraqi ambassador expressed his "hope that oil markets will stabilize, and prices rise to the level hoped for."[/ltr]
[ltr]Members of the OPEC and independent producers led by Russia, beginning in 2017, began to cut production by 1.8 million barrels per day, for 6 months.[/ltr]
[ltr]The agreement was extended in May for nine months this year to $ 70-75.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Iraq needs additional financial revenues for the reconstruction of the cities destroyed by a sympathetic organization over the past three years," Alawi told the Anatolia news agency.[/ltr]
