The head of parliament Salim al-Jubouri on Wednesday constitutional institutions "the safest framework" to prevent the division of Iraq into multiple countries.
"We have been able to lay the foundation for the establishment of a state of constitutional institutions that we find is the most powerful wall and the safest framework to prevent attempts to divide Iraq and distract its people and turn it into shabby political shops," Jubouri said in a speech at the International Conference on Governance and Decentralization. .
"We have put the federal system away from the brakes of the central state but not at the level of ambition because most of those who responded to the responsibilities were weak in its application to their compliance with the political parties they represent and their vision of a high partner or lack of understanding of the regime," he said.
