Shafaq News / "Shiite political sources" revealed that the break-up of the coalition between the list of Prime Minister Haider Abadi and the "Fatah" coalition, which includes leaders of the popular crowd came at the request of the commander of the Iranian Quds Force Qassim Soleimani.
According to the US AP, which quoted what they identified as Shiite political sources, the announcement of an agreement between the "Abadi bloc and the Al-Fath Alliance lasted only two days, and this disintegration came at the request of Qassem Soleimani."
"Iran first asked the Fatah alliance to join Abadi and then withdrew to embarrass the prime minister to the West," the source said. According to a report translated by Twilight News.
"Soleimani's participation in this regard indicates that Iran is seeking to install its militia allies in power for political purposes of their own," she said.
According to the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), some 7,000 candidates will compete for 329 seats in parliament in the May 12 elections, the fourth since the change in 2003.
Candidates formed 27 political alliances. Last month, the electoral commission extended the deadline for registering alliances with Labor Political parties to negotiate deals, but failed.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said he was seeking re-election with his newly formed Al-Nasr coalition, separate from the rivalry of the state of law led by rival Nuri al-Maliki. Maliki is currently vice president. He was prime minister from 2006 to 2014.
