    [ltr]The Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Erj Musjidi, on Thursday, that the time is still early to talk about the formation of the next Iraqi government.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The meeting with the delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) was to discuss post-election conditions in Iraq, dialogues and ongoing coordination between the political parties to form the next government," Masjedi said in a statement after meeting with a delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).[/ltr]
    [ltr]He added that "the blocs and the winning parties in the elections are currently engaged in dialogues on forming a government and exchange views on this aspect, and therefore the time is still early to talk about the formation of the new government in Iraq."[/ltr]
    [ltr]A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party arrived in the capital Baghdad to hold meetings with leaders of the political blocs to discuss the formation of the next government.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Iraqis voted last Saturday (12 May 2018) to elect a new parliament. The first elections were held after the defeat of the terrorist organization Da'ash. The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced that the participation rate in the elections was 44%.[/ltr]
