Iranian-Russian naval exercises soon
Iranian naval force commander Admiral Hussein Khansadi has announced a joint naval exercise with Russia soon.
Admiral Khanzadi said in a press briefing that the upcoming Iran-Russia joint exercises would include training in tactical relief and rescue operations and confronting pirates.
Admiral Khanzadi discussed the growing ties between the naval force of the Iranian army and the Russian navy and said that cooperation between the Iranian and Russian naval forces and Caspian Sea Powers has been greatly enhanced over the past years.
"We have organized relations in the Caspian Sea, where it can be said that they have taken a traditional form and that these countries are well aware of each other. Caspian Sea is a closed lake and its security lies with all its countries.
"The Caspian Sea will not allow any foreign force to be present in its waters," he said. "The Caspian Sea is the sea of peace and friendship and all countries are pursuing this approach."
Admiral Khanzadi said that the joint maneuvers between Iran and Russia will enhance the level of maritime cooperation at all levels of strategic, tactical and operational levels, announcing a joint naval maneuver with Russia to supply and rescue and confront the pirates soon. Finished
