Jordan announces decline in exports to Iraq and determines the reason

Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tariq Hammouri, revealed a significant decrease in Jordanian exports to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] due to restrictions imposed by Baghdad on the entry of the product.
Hammouri said in a press statement that Jordanian exports to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] during the first five months of this year decreased from what it was in the same period last year, due to the conditions imposed by the Iraqi side on all imports such as cards of origin and other quality control procedures. He added that his country was forced to apply the principle of reciprocity with Syria by banning the importation of many Syrian goods and imposing restrictions on the other, where Syria prevents the entry of Jordanian products to its territory, stressing the readiness of his government to reverse this decision in case Syria cancels the restrictions on Jordanian exports.
