    US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the Iraqi and Lebanese people want to restore their countries from the Iranian regime.
    "The Iraqi and Lebanese people want to restore their countries," Pompeo said in a tweet via his Twitter platform.
    He pointed out that "Iraq and Lebanon deserve to make their way away from the interventions of Khamenei."

    US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed the situation in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon during a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir, the State Department said Wednesday.
    The two ministers also discussed the latest developments in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, as well as addressing Iran's actions, the ministry said in a statement.
    "The Iraqi and Lebanese people want their countries to return," Pompeo wrote in a tweet on the back of the meeting.
    "Both Iraq and Lebanon deserve to run their own affairs free from Khamenei's interference," he said.
