The Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, on Tuesday, that the policy of the state and the responsibility of the government to protect the rights of citizens to life, work, study, transport and secure private and public property.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the Prime Minister's Media Office said that during the regular session of the cabinet, Abdel-Mahdi reviewed the government's stance on the human rights file, the reports of the United Nations Office and the judicial and security authorities and the strict instructions to follow up the details of the report seriously.
"The state's policy and government responsibilities to protect the right to peaceful protest and the rest of the rights of citizens to life, work, study, transport, secure private and public property and take legal measures to ensure the continuation of the work of state institutions and the interests of citizens," Abdul Mahdi said.
