, the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, on Monday called for developing the capabilities of the Iraqi army, considering that insulting it or diminishing its heavy sacrifices amounted to Iraq.
Al-Hakim said, in a statement received by / Mawazine News / a copy of it, that "our valiant Iraqi army, the history of heroism, which is replete with the medal of great sacrifices, honorable sagas and immortal exploits, officers and soldiers, on the anniversary of its immortal founding, we stand for a tribute to our military establishment that represents all Iraqis with all their affiliations and components."
He added: "Greetings of love and appreciation for our valiant people in the Iraqi army and the rest of the brave people in our security system, which have been emboldened in the battles of honor and have gone out of the homeland fever and kept the terrorist gangs out of Iraq."
Al-Hakim continued: "On this dear occasion, we call for developing the capabilities of our army, professionally, militarily, and logistically, and to upgrade it like the armies of the developed countries, and we consider the prejudice or insulting of this commanding army, or detracting from its heavy sacrifices, to affect Iraq."
