"The ministry is keen on strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and the Netherlands and expanding the horizons of bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially the energy and oil sector," Al-Ghadban said, while receiving at his office the Dutch ambassador in Baghdad, Eric Stratnck.
Al-Ghadban added that "Iraq and the Netherlands have distinguished relations. There are important projects implemented by Dutch companies, perhaps the most important of which is the Al-Jazeera Industrial Project in southern Iraq, which is one of the pioneering projects to boost oil exports from southern ports."
For his part, the Dutch ambassador, "Eric Stratneck" praised the bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and the growth and development of relations, and the desire of his country to increase the volume of cooperation in the energy sector, stressing "the desire of specialized Dutch companies to implement projects and contribute to the development of infrastructure for the oil sector."
It is noteworthy that the Dutch company Bosakalis is implementing the industrial island project in the southern ports, which aims to increase and enhance export capacity.
