[size=18]Border Ports Authority confirmed on Tuesday that Iraqi land borders with Iran and Kuwait are completely closed to travelers and commercial exchange.

The authority stated in a statement that Alsumaria News received a copy of it, that it "confirms the lack of credibility of the video that was circulated on social networking sites Facebook about a group of wheels carrying Iranian visitors and the protection of Iraqi police cars in Basra Governorate."

She pointed out that "the content of the video is the departure of Turkish workers from Basra province, and heading to their country through the outlet of Basra International Airport, and these photos confirm the validity of the event."

The Commission affirmed that "our land border crossings with the two neighbors, Iran and Kuwait, are completely closed and strict to the movement of travelers and commercial exchange."

She called for "accuracy and credibility in what is published and obtaining the correct information from its official sources."
