    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
    [rtl]At the twelfth meeting of senior officials on security issues held in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2024, the Iraqi National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, delivered an important speech in which he addressed many vital issues affecting Iraq’s national identity and their impact on national security. [/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Araji spoke about Iraq's vision of national identity in light of the challenges it faced, noting that it represents a self-definition of Iraqi society and respects the religious, national and cultural diversity that distinguishes it.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Araji stressed the importance of national identity as a concept that transcends narrow sub-identities, stressing that it enhances pluralism and national unity and contributes to strengthening societal peace and social integration. In light of the great challenges that Iraq faced from terrorist organizations, Al-Araji stressed the role of national identity in enhancing national security, stressing that victory over terrorism was a victory for this identity and for the will of the Iraqi people to build a state of citizenship and promote coexistence.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Hence, he pointed out that Iraqi institutions are working hard to build development partnerships with the private sector to achieve the economic well-being of citizens, and stressed that the program of the Muhammad Shia al-Sudani government seeks to strengthen national identity and support national security.[/rtl]
    [rtl]At the conclusion of his speech, Al-Araji stressed the importance of the international community’s support for Iraq in the paths of managing diversity and pluralism, enhancing national security, and achieving stability and sustainable development. He stressed that Iraq still needs this support to achieve the aspirations of its people for a better future.[/rtl]
