    And brother of Baghdad
The head of the Sairoun coalition committee in Diyala governorate and a member of the parliamentary services and reconstruction committee, MP Burhan Al-Mamouri, said today, Sunday, that the country is not suffering from a financial crisis, but rather from corruption and mismanagement.
Al-Maamouri said in a statement, a copy of which was received by “Khabar Press,” that “Iraq is a country of multiple natural resources and diversified goods and has sources of financial revenues that make it at the forefront of the richest countries in the world, indicating: The resources of border crossings, holy shrines and taxes, if properly utilized, are sufficient by themselves. That the people of the people live in luxury and prosperity.
Al-Mamouri added: The quota system that successive governments followed after 2003 is one of the most important reasons for the loss of the country's wealth, pointing out: The lack of recourse to competencies and economists and the placement of inappropriate people in financial decision-making positions is one of the most important results of the deterioration that Iraq is going through.
Al-Maamouri explained: The lack of clarity of the financial system, urgent decisions and futile plans led to a large waste of public money, indicating that there is no real financial crisis, but rather codified corruption and poor planning and management is the reason that brought the country to the brink of economic collapse.
