On Tuesday, the Presidency of the Republic denied the validity of a tweet talking about Barham Salih's willingness to sign a peace agreement with "Israel", describing what was stated in it as "fabricated."
In a statement, the information agency received a copy, the presidency said, "Media outlets and pages on social media circulated a fabricated statement attributed to the President of the Republic stating that [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ready to sign a peace agreement with Israel in coordination with the Palestinians."
She added, "We affirm that what is being circulated is absolutely false, and that the statement is fabricated," calling on the media and bloggers to "be accurate and credible and take information from its official source, otherwise the circulation of this news without verification aims to offend and create chaos, and for suspicious purposes."
