    The ministry issued a statement, which Al-Furat News Agency received a copy of today, warning of the seriousness of the current epidemiological situation and confirming that the decision to reduce the health ban, open restaurants and malls, and conduct examinations is not linked to the epidemiological situation, but rather came in response to humanitarian and economic needs and to alleviate the suffering of people with limited income from society and the sobriety of education. .
    According to a statement, "The Ministry of Health and Environment has been committed to pursuing a policy of communication and transparency with public opinion in Iraq since the start of the Corona pandemic crisis until now, so our ministry would like to note that the decision to reduce the health ban and open restaurants, malls and cafes is not linked to the current epidemiological situation, but rather in response." Due to humanitarian and economic needs and to alleviate the suffering of people with limited income from society, stressing that the reduction of the ban requires strict application of preventive measures to ensure that infection is not transmitted in these facilities and to break the chain of transmission of the epidemic, and health teams have been directed to follow these facilities and take legal measures against violators and close the violator Of which.
    She added, "The Ministry of Health and Environment warns of the seriousness of the current epidemiological situation, as the rates of injuries continued to rise in a worrying way, as the rate of injuries in recent days was more than 5,000 sick injuries per day, which is the highest rate recorded by Iraq since the start of the pandemic, which confirms what we announced in the previous data." And repeated references to the danger of the second wave and being more severe than the first wave.
    She pointed out that the continued increase in the number of injuries in this way will constitute a great danger to the health system, especially when health institutions are unable to absorb severe and critical injuries, which leads to an increase in the number of deaths as a result, God forbid, and we regret the reference to the high death rates in most governorates due to the delay Patients are referred to hospitals, which leads to a deterioration of their health condition and the difficulty of treating it, and statistics issued by health institutions indicate that 50% of deaths resulting from the Corona pandemic occur within a period not exceeding 48 hours of hospitalization.
    According to the statement, I warned of the danger of the continuing deterioration in the epidemiological situation due to failure to adhere to preventive measures by most of the citizens and underestimating the application of the ban, especially in popular and rural areas and the outskirts of cities in various governorates. And restaurants.
    She emphasized that our national and moral responsibility calls on us to repeat the call on all citizens to pay attention to the seriousness of the epidemic situation and stop underestimating preventive measures and not adhering to the decisions of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety, especially those related to preventing all gatherings, achieving physical distancing and wearing masks.
    It called on governors, security agencies and all state institutions to follow up the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety related to the implementation of the ban in a manner that achieves physical distancing and prevents human gatherings in all its forms, especially the funeral and wedding councils, whose return has been widely observed recently, as well as focusing on wearing masks and providing sterilizers in All state institutions, the private sector and social facilities, and taking strict legal measures against violators.
    And she continued, we reiterate our call to all media channels, civil society organizations, clerics and tribal leaders to shoulder their national and moral responsibilities in urging citizens to implement preventive measures and not underestimate them, and to respect the instructions issued by the authorized health authorities.
