The spokeswoman for the Commission, Jumana Al-Ghalai, said in a press statement that "357 parties were registered in the early legislative elections, and that the number of women nominations reached 169 women."
She added, "There are 22 alliances, and 12 candidates for the Shabaks, 2 Sabeans, 6 Yazidis, and 16 Christians," noting that "parties that have conditional founding licenses can run in the elections."
Al-Ghalay confirmed that "the number of candidates is 847 for the upcoming elections," noting that "the above statistic is the last statistic of the commission."
