    A statement by the Ministry of Electricity, which Al-Furat News received a copy of, stated, "The Minister of Electricity, Majid Mahdi Hantoush, received in his office at the ministry's headquarters the Bulgarian Chargé d'Affairs Valentin Nikolov, and the latter expressed his happiness with this meeting as it is a spacious window for exchanging industrial and marketing experiences according to scientific formulas, and conveying His government's message includes Bulgaria's desire to open up prospects for cooperation in all fields.
    And the Bulgarian Chargé d'Affairs indicated that "this meeting is an early indication for providing support for renewable energy projects by preparing the requirements for their success through the desire of their companies to come to Iraq to sign investment and partnership contracts with the ministry in accordance with the highest specifications and capabilities."
    He added, "Bulgarian companies specialize in the processing of distribution and power transformers, and are distinguished in producing the energy they generate through various sources such as dams, nuclear energy, solar and wind renewable energies."
    He added, "Also, Bulgaria has a long history that exceeds thirty years in the field of exporting electricity to Turkey and Greece, and we note that Iraq is continuing the electrical connection with Turkey and entering soon the European energy market, so it is possible to export energy through Turkey and according to Iraq's desire, and prepare to discuss All proposals and formulas for action proposed by the Government of Iraq to serve the interests of both parties.
    For his part, the Minister of Electricity stressed, "on building solid relations between the two countries, opening doors for cooperation and exchanging experiences in the energy fields," noting "the ministry's endeavor to develop the electricity sector and direct it towards professionalism and benefit from the Bulgarian experience in this field." 
    Hantoush explained, "It is possible to deal with Bulgaria in the field of energy import if the connection with Turkey is completed. The project's main pillars of economic feasibility, length of lines, and quality will be studied, taking into account that energy prices vary according to the season and the extent of the rise and fall on supply and demand. Therefore, it must be These prices are competitive and reasonable.
    During the meeting, the Minister of Electricity received a friendly message from the friendly Bulgarian government, and stressed that investment in electricity must be an infrastructure based on human and material components and capabilities and a global competitive market, and that the world today no longer depends on improvised plans to meet the increasing demand for energy, so it depends. Our ministry has well-studied strategic plans and programs and short and long-term goals that will be achieved with commitment and accuracy.
