In a press statement, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Muhammad Al-Ghazi, ruled out "passing the Child Rights Law during the current legislative session," stressing that "it is difficult to complete it during this period."
He pointed out that his committee "will participate with the committees on human rights, women, family and children for the purpose of discussing it during the upcoming sessions."
Al-Ghazi said, "Parliament is currently not able during this period to pass a new law that has not read any reading or discussion during the last period, but it can currently pass laws that have read two readings or one reading."
