    (Local: Al Furat News) The number of displaced families in the country, according to the latest statistics, reached 39,214, comprising 176,341 individuals, distributed between the Kurdistan region and two governorates.
    The Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Immigration Karim Al-Nouri said, in a press statement, that "the ministry succeeded during the past period in returning 134,000 of them to their areas of origin throughout the governorates, after restoring and securing services, which enabled the ministry to end the file of their displacement two years ago." It was 173,000."
    And he indicated that "the families that are still residing in the areas of displacement until now, within the camps in Kurdistan and the provinces of Anbar and Nineveh, distributed by 37,113 families and comprising 165,952 individuals within 26 camps in the region, while the remaining 2,101 families reside in the ten-account groups. ".
    A few days ago, the ministry announced its readiness to close the Amiriya Fallujah camps in Anbar and Al-Jada'a in Nineveh during the next few days.

    Al-Nouri revealed that "the ministry has prepared a plan, which aims to return all the displaced to their areas of residence in coordination with the security agencies and civil society organizations and those affiliated with the United Nations," stressing "the existence of international support for their return, stabilizing them in the security areas."
    He pointed out, in the same context, that "the ministry will implement the return plan for the remaining displaced families during the coming period, which will be carried out in cooperation with the local government of Kouk and the five provinces of Kouk, Al-Din, Ibar, and the provinces."
    It is noteworthy that the past days witnessed the return of 43 families, including 246 displaced people, from the Khazar axis camps, east of the city of Mosul, to their areas of origin in Nineveh.
