    The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for adhering to diplomatic methods to resolve the tension between Russia and Ukraine, stressing Iraq's position calling for respect for the sovereignty of countries.
    The head of the Europe department, according to a statement received by Al-Nour News, stressed the importance of continuing to hold meetings for political consultations to be held during the first quarter of 2022 between Iraq and Ukraine.     The head of the Europe Department expressed Iraq's position calling for respect for the sovereignty of states, non-interference in their internal affairs, and disassociation from differences and disputes, whether between Ukraine and Russia or among other countries, through Iraq's commitment to a neutral position on the conflict between states.
    Minister Plenipotentiary Tariq Al-Shaher stressed the activation of the meetings of the Iraqi-Ukrainian joint committee in its fifth session during the first half of this year, and the need to encourage bilateral visits by officials in both countries, in a way that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations in various fields.
    Buravzhnikov reviewed the internal developments in his country, noting the efforts of the Ukrainian government to act on the international community regarding the severe tensions with Russia and the possibilities of war with it.
    He pointed out the importance of using all diplomatic means to reduce escalation, withdraw Russian forces from Ukraine's borders and prevent the Russian Federation from any possible aggression against Ukraine
