    On Thursday, Minister of Transport Nasser Al-Shibli discussed with his Lebanese counterpart, Ali Hamiyah, a number of issues related to air, sea and land transport.

    A statement of the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, a copy of which was received by "NAS", (12 February 2022), stated that "the Iraqi Minister of Transport, Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, will receive today, Saturday, his Lebanese counterpart, Ali Hamiyah, the Lebanese Minister of Transport and Public Works, in the presence of the Lebanese ambassador to Iraq and the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Hazem Radi. During the meeting, a number of important issues related to air, sea and land transport were discussed.  
      
    The statement added, "Al-Shibli stressed the importance of opening prospects for joint cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two countries, which in turn contributes to developing joint work and serving the public interest."  
      
    The statement continued, "For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Transport expressed his happiness with this meeting, which he described as fruitful, stressing that a number of understandings have been reached to develop work in all areas of transport."  [/size][/size]
