Shafaq News/ The Iraq Stock Exchange announced on Tuesday that it traded more than six billion shares, with a financial value of more than five billion dinars, during today's session.
The market said in a report seen by Shafak News Agency, "The number of companies whose shares are traded today reached 36 joint-stock companies, while shares of 49 companies did not trade due to the lack of convergence of purchase orders prices with sales orders, and the number of suspended companies reached 18 companies for not providing disclosure out of 103 companies listed on the market.
And he indicated that "the number of traded shares amounted to six billion and 103 million shares with a financial value of five billion and 436 million dinars through the implementation of 1023 deals," noting that "the ISX60 traded price index closed at 596.21 points."
The market indicated that "the number of shares purchased from non-Iraqi investors amounted to 168 million shares, with a financial value of 194 million dinars, through the implementation of 25 deals on the shares of two companies, while the number of shares sold from non-Iraqi investors in the market reached 71 million shares, with a financial value of 122 million." dinars through the implementation of 54 transactions on the shares of 4 companies.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Stock Exchange organizes five trading sessions a week from Sunday to Thursday, and includes 103 Iraqi joint stock companies representing the sectors of banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism and hotels.
