[size=45]On Friday, the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced the latest death toll from hemorrhagic fever throughout the country.[/size]
[size=45]A spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, said in a statement that "the ministry's institutions recorded 8 deaths and 40 cases of hemorrhagic fever throughout Iraq, half of them in Dhi Qar Governorate."[/size]
[size=45]He added, "There is a relatively high rate of hemorrhagic fever infections during the current year."[/size]
[size=45]Hemorrhagic fever is a viral disease with a mortality rate of 40%, according to the World Health Organization, and it is transmitted from animals to humans directly, such as mixing with livestock, or through islands of livestock infected with the disease.[/size]
