    Finance Minister Taif Sami confirmed, on Sunday, that one of the government's most important priorities is presenting and approving the draft budget.
    The Ministry's media office said in a statement, "The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, held, today, Sunday, an extensive meeting with the general managers and the advanced cadre of the ministry."
    During the meeting, Sami stressed the importance of cooperation in the spirit of one team, completing the necessary reforms for the financial policy and providing the requirements for comprehensive development of the national economy, especially in light of the current economic conditions, noting that "one of the most important priorities of the new government and the ministry is to present and approve the draft general federal budget for the year 2023." ".
    She stressed "the need to continue joint coordination between all bodies and departments, invest time and mobilize energies, in order to enhance the chances of success in managing financial resources and improving strategies for federal budgets, as well as maximizing the side of the state's public revenues, and completing projects to automate the customs and tax system and the unified treasury account."
    And she added, "The ministry operates according to the regulations and laws that outline the performance of its tasks in accordance with integrity standards and the requirements for achieving justice," noting that "the next stage requires us to redouble efforts and prepare programs towards strengthening the pillars of a balanced and sustainable national economy, supporting the vital and productive sectors, in order to achieve the interests of the Iraqi people in various his slices."
