    Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning confirmed its adoption of the policy of supporting and empowering the private sector, while noting that the electronic system for classifying contractors, which it completed, is a pioneering work that contributed to addressing many problems.



    The ministry said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, "The Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, chaired the (100) session of the Iraqi Contractors Classification Committee."

    The statement added, "The ministry strongly adopts a policy of supporting and empowering the private sector, as it is the main development partner in the country, because the development of the private sector creates economic stability that supports and achieves security stability."






    The statement indicated that "the directives of the Prime Minister emphasized addressing the problems and challenges facing the work of the private sector, especially the contracting sector, which represents one of the most important development pillars, because it undertakes the implementation of projects at all levels, and that the government's dealings with the private sector be transparent and positive, and give it The development space commensurate with his capabilities and the economic potential available to him.

    He pointed out that "work is currently underway to automate all activities and work related to the classification of contractors, to reduce friction with employees, expedite the completion of procedures related to the issuance of classification identities, and address the problems of inclusion in the black list."


    He explained, "The electronic system for classifying contractors, which was completed by the Ministry of Planning, is a pioneering work that contributed to addressing many problems, but it still needs further development, and this is what the Ministry is currently working on, within the framework of completing the requirements of the e-government."

    The Minister of Planning stressed, "the importance of the work of the Contractors Classification Committee, which includes representatives of the relevant authorities, calling on its members to attend the meetings on a regular basis, because its work is related to the classification and listing process, and therefore any delay in completing the procedures for contractors and contracting companies would lead to Negatively affects the implementation of projects, and the failure to meet the services provided to citizens.

    The minister concluded by saying, "The presence of an effective private sector is a first priority within the current government's priorities, and there will be many policies and practical measures that support and develop this sector."
