    The representative of the State of Law coalition, Muhammad Al-Saihoud, preferred to settle the presidencies of most parliamentary committees in the next week before the end of the legislative term, pointing out that the political blocs continue their meetings to resolve this issue.
    Al-Saihoud said in a press statement, "The decision of parliamentary committee chairings is not linked to the remaining ministerial portfolios, such as reconstruction and environment, especially since the two ministries have decided their affairs for the Kurdish component, and the committees' presidency is for a party or component that differs from the party that obtained the ministerial position."
    He added, "The delay in resolving the committees' presidencies occurred because Parliament was waiting to form the government headed by Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani. Today, things have become clear and the political parties are continuing their work to finish this file."
    And that "next week will be the last of the legislative term, and may witness the resolution of most parliamentary committees, and their chairmen will be chosen, especially since the meetings are continuing between the political blocs to end this issue."
