    Today, Tuesday, the spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Major General Khaled Al-Muhanna, identified three paths to combat oil smugglers, while indicating that smuggling gangs threaten the backbone of the economy.


    Al-Muhanna said in an interview with Al-Sumaria News, "There was a scarcity of fuel as a result of the presence of some groups smuggling oil derivatives," noting that "this issue is now threatening the backbone of the Iraqi economy."

    A spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior added that "oil smuggling gangs now have oil refineries outside the law," adding, "This issue requires real will and planning to confront these groups through strategies that included 3 parts."






    He continued the parts represented by "restructuring the Energy [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3786830625/%D9%85%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B4%D8%B1%D8%B7%D8%A9/ar/]Police Directorate[/url] according to a system that allows supervision and control, in addition to job rotation in accordance with the principle of integrity and efficiency, as well as the strict measures taken by the Energy [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3786830625/%D9%85%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B4%D8%B1%D8%B7%D8%A9/ar/]Police Directorate[/url]."

    He pointed out that "these measures will continue until the borders are strengthened and smuggling is put to an end."

    In turn, the Director General of the Energy Police, Maj.     Jamal added, "These operations resulted in the seizure of 188 tanks, and many arrests and raids."

    He explained that "there is cooperation between the Directorate, the intelligence and the National Security Agency," stressing "the elimination of those who manipulate the country's oil wealth."
