    The Minister of Education during his attendance at the “Financing Education Cannot Wait” conference in Geneva:
    We are working to amend laws to give an opportunity for youth and people with special needs outside the legal age to engage in education again
    His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ibrahim Names Al-Jubouri, accompanied by the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Falah Mahmoud Al-Qaisi, and the ministerial delegation concerned with educational affairs attended the “Financing Education Cannot Wait” conference, which was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
    Al-Jubouri explained that the participation came in accordance with the fourth goal of the sustainable development goals launched by the United Nations General Assembly, adding that the Ministry of Education had support from the United Nations Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Fund within the Multi-Year Recovery Program (MYRP) in cooperation with the rescue organization. International Child, as it provided educational services in five governorates.
    And in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education held several meetings with high-level officials of international organizations specialized in educational affairs, in addition to organizing a meeting with the private sector and in coordination with the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Iraq in Geneva to support the educational sector in all its educational fields (formal and non-formal).
    And His Excellency continued: The Ministry is working to amend laws that prevent girls, young men and people with special needs whose circumstances prevented them from completing their studies from enrolling in regular schools, harnessing the efforts and specialized agencies to return them to education, whatever their age, and integrate them and transfer them to formal education to be a turning point that opens They have the horizon to learn and build a bright future.
