Parliament is in the process of amending the People with Disabilities and Special Needs Law, and these are its advantages

Shafaq News/ The Parliamentary Labor and Social Affairs Committee said on Tuesday that the House of Representatives will vote on amending the People with Disabilities and Special Needs Law No. 38 of 2013, noting that the amendment includes the right for those covered to receive another salary.
Committee member Amir Al-Mamouri told Shafaq News Agency, “We collected signatures from members of the House of Representatives and asked the Presidency of the House to include the amendment to the law on the agenda of Wednesday’s session for approval.”
He added, "The People with Disabilities and Special Needs Law is one of the important laws and will serve a wide segment while providing the necessary supplies, in addition to the rights and privileges of this segment."
Al-Maamouri continued, “According to the articles of the People with Disabilities and Special Needs Law, those covered have the right to receive another salary, whether they are employees, retirees, or covered by social welfare.”
The amendment also includes, according to Al-Mamouri, “the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities and Special Needs providing awareness programs and educational resources for individuals with disabilities and their families, in addition to providing an appropriate environment for them to work in all ministries and service departments.”
The spokesman for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Najm Al-Aqabi, said earlier that the Care for Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs Law No. 38 of 2013 includes in its privileges granting a salary to a full-time employee.
He pointed out, "There are more than 220,000 citizens in Baghdad and the governorates who receive the full-time salary of 170,000 dinars per month."
